    Coffee production system in Ethiopia are forest coffee, semi-forest coffee, plantation coffee and garden coffee. Smallholder farmers grow garden coffee near their residences mainly in Guji Uraga District is Garden production system and mostly coffee variety exists in the districts is a land race variety of Kudhume (Bourbon) that account for 80-90% of the land coverage.

    Shade trees provide a protection to coffee plants in bad weather conditions; it regulates temperature, light or rain intensity and stabilised soil with their deep roots. Leaf litter considered as source of organic matter. In places where rain is not frequent, shade provides the best conditions for coffee trees. It suppresses weed, coffee bean has better acidity under shade. It increases the retention and availability of water, lower soil erosion and better water infiltration. Most commonly shade trees used with coffee plantation in Uraga District are Korch, Wanza, Sesa, Acacia and false banana.

    This Particular undergoes special shade dried process. After washing, these beans were subjected to a special, time-intensive shade-drying process that protects them from the harsh noon sun and therefore produces a much more uniformly spectacular lot. The final result is far greater depth, complexity and clarity of flavours.
